THE EMERALD JEWEL
Woodies USA is proud to present one of the most beautifully finished modified 1947 Ford woodie wagons we have had to date in our inventory. The woodie wagon has had a frame off restoration, with no detail overlooked. The modifications were performed by the famous garage of “Everett Brothers” in Fallbrook, California. The 1947 Ford original paint color, Glade Green, has been beautifully applied over a very straight body and looks like a sparkling jewel! The original Maple wood body and ribbon mahogany panels are finished with many, many coats of marine spar varnish that contrast perfectly with the near flawless Maple wood. The interior is impeccably finished with the original 3 seats done in a rich, glove soft and saddle colored leather that smells of new! The dash has been refinished in the original wood graining by the shop of none other than Nick Alexander’s. There is air conditioning and heat by Vintage Air. The top was meticulously fitted and applied by Nick’s interior shop in Los Angeles.
The power is derived from a Chevrolet Corvette LS-1, 350 cu.” fuel injected V-8, with custom engine covers. The powerful modern engine is coupled to a Chevrolet automatic overdrive transmission with final power delivered to the rear wheels through a Ford explorer disc brake rear end. The front end is a Mustang II type with rack and pinion power steering and 11” power disc brakes. The wheels are wider than stock 16” with very safe radial tires, stock hubcaps and trim rings that finishing out the ride.
This amazing modified 1947 Ford woodie wagon drives and handles like a modern vehicle. It will deliver its occupants safely and in style to destinations of their dreams!
