The year is 1946, the war has ended and Ford Motor Company is back making automobiles in place of war machines. The Woodie wagon manufacturing facility at Iron Mountain, Michigan is in full swing pumping out those beautiful maple and a select few birch bodies for the handcrafted station wagons. The 1946 Super Deluxe station wagon is the top of the line Ford with 4 doors, 3 rows of seats for a growing family, and a powerful 100 horsepower V8 Flathead engine.
Woodies USA is privileged to present for sale this 1946 Ford Super Deluxe station wagon. The maroon paint shines like the day it was new. This woodie is one of the few birch bodies with many coats of fresh marine spar varnish. The interior has also just been redone by Nick Alexander Restorations. All three seats were re-upholstered with the authentic material. The dash was re-grained. The steering wheel & column along with the heater, were freshly re-painted. The woodie sports the following options: heater, clock, original radio and white wall tires. The Flathead engine runs strong and is one of the smoothest running engines in our inventory. The 3-speed transmission shifts like butter and the clutch is velvet smooth. The wagon is a great driver that will turn heads wherever it goes and is safe, reliable, and a dream to drive.
Come see and drive this wonderful woodie at our Southern California showroom soon before it is gone forever!
You will not find a nicer original wood 1946 wagon such as ours and is priced far below the market at $89,900.
